LITERATURE RETURNS TO SUBOTICA: BANAT SALAMANDERS

On Friday, December 1, 2023, at 7:00 PM, the first poetry evening within the project "Literature Returns to Subotica" will take place at Klara and Rosa's venue (Petefi Šandora 15). Presenting their poetry will be Miloš Markov, Uroš Pavlov, and Stefan Basarić.

Born in 1992 in Kikinda, Uroš Pavlov graduated from the Department of Comparative Literature with Literary Theory at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. He is involved in rhetoric and organizing cultural events. Winner of the national public speaking competition in 2012, he authored the poetry collection "The Sky is Worn-out Shoes," which won the first book competition organized by BKCa and the city of Kikinda. He is the recipient of the Stevan Sremac Literature Award. Uroš Pavlov lives and works in Novi Sad.

Miloš Markov Born in 1993 in Subotica, Miloš Markov graduated from the Department of Comparative Literature with Literary Theory at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. His work is featured in numerous magazines and anthologies, both online and in print. He lives and works between Subotica, Novi Sad, and Belgrade.

Stefan Basarić Born in Subotica in 1993, Stefan Basarić graduated from the Department of Serbian Literature and Language at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. He has been writing poetry and prose since high school and currently lives and works in Subotica.
