In 2021, she was selected as the representative of Montenegro in the OneBeat music residency organized by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to promote innovative music worldwide. Her artistic activities under the alias mariesoundsystem began with the performance of her audio-visual work "Yu.spectrum" in the Alexandrinski Theatre (St. Petersburg) as part of the Noiseroom concert series. Using natural materials, ritualistic traditional and electronic instruments, Marija creates a dynamic system of subtle layered sound textures that auralize feelings, experiences, silences, and affirm a different reality. She will present the audio-visual performance "LOST IN AN_OTHER," initiating a continuous exploration of collective, personal, and cultural identities through intuitive-sensory creative processes.
