Invisible Pillars of Society / The Place of a Good Worker
The program “Invisible Pillars of Society” brings us the guest performance “The Place of a Good Worker,” which will take place on Monday, November 24, at 19:30 in the Klara and Rosa space.
.
“The Place of a Good Worker” blends elements of cabaret, lecture, and public discussion. The initial setup is imagined as a self-help and support group meeting between four women connected by their work experience. All four work in art and culture. All four work (or have worked) as teachers. In this performance, they examine social reality and the challenges of labor in culture and education in Serbia today.
.
The authors question what kind of teachers and teaching are needed today, what role education plays in our society, how far the influence of teaching and teachers reaches, and how one deals with an inert educational system in which almost every essential attempt at modernization or experimentation is bound to fail.
