The women’s association “Klara and Rosa” from Subotica, with the support of the Reconstruction Women’s Fund from Belgrade, carried out the project “One by Another” from December 2018 to April 2019, concluding with the premiere of a performance by members of the independent acting troupe “Free Scene Subotica.”

 

The performance emerged from psychodrama workshops, group discussions, and dance and singing sessions during which women artists from Subotica explored questions and searched for answers about the meaning of art in a small town, the social role of women, prejudices, and the position of female artists in an environment where mere survival is often the only goal. Through shared artistic work and collective exploration, the artists united to create this performance.
