THE KLARA AND ROSA TEAM

.

Gordana Vukov Ciganjik

.

A graduate actress. She doesn’t work in the theatre, yet she thinks and acts like an actress. Sometimes too honest, always vulnerable, quick to tears. She creates and imagines for Subotica, but often leaves it to clear her mind. Curious about learning, discovery, and experimentation, though she often doesn’t know what she’s doing or why. Talks and philosophizes too much, but always wants to make something tangible. Makes decisions intuitively. Loves to play and fool around. Within her, Austro-Hungary and the Balkans meet. An idealist who believes that culture can change society. She believes in nuance and empathy. One of the co-founders of the organization Klara i Rosa.

Anamarija Tumbas

.

Daughter of Subotica — a singer-songwriter and community manager at Klara and Rosa. Loves to travel, but by the second day can’t wait to come back home. Rational and practical, yet always a bit worried. Hardworking — except when she isn’t, and then she still hasn’t learned to forgive herself for resting by binge-watching series. Tries to find meaning in everything, even in what looks like a mistake. Believes that the greatest title a person can hold is that of a friend. Stays in Subotica because she believes in people and in the idea that we create our own opportunities, step by step, out of what we have and what we share with one another.

Ivona Lukačević

.

A mother of a teenage boy and a young girl, always curious and eager to learn something new. Although she wasn’t previously part of the activist scene, she quickly found her place in the Klara and Rosa team and became its newest member. Responsible for administration and paperwork — all those invisible but essential things that keep Klara and Rosa standing.

.

.

.

Réka Gyurkovics

.

Fashion designer and advocate for sustainable fashion. She translates into Hungarian for Klara and Rosa and also coordinates the Courtyard Gallery program, where she quietly but persistently creates a space where art, community, and everyday life meet. Quiet but curious; calm yet always active. In her work, she merges aesthetics and responsibility, believing that fashion can be both beautiful and mindful — and that change doesn’t happen suddenly but gradually, stitch by stitch.

Ivan Benčik

.

Journalist and lover of music, film, and literature. A former member of the Hrvatska riječ editorial team, today part of Magločistač’s culture section. Loves to take part, to discover, and to drive through roads, ideas, or stories. Curiosity is his engine, and humor is his way of bridging any silence. A great supporter and selector of Klara and Rosa’s Secret Cinema program, where he carefully curates films that remind us that art always has something important to tell us.

Henrieta Varga

.

Glumica, koreografkinja i izuzetna kuvarica, ali pre svega – majka. Svestrana i strastvena, radoznala i budna u odnosu, ona spaja širinu Francuske i disciplinu Japana. Jugoslovenski kod utkan je duboko u njeno interkulturno biće. U svakom susretu gleda duboko, do same duše onog s kim je  u razmeni. Za nju  umetnost ne staje na sceni, ona je način postojanja, promišljanje o tome kako živeti u skladu sa prirodom, planetom i sobom. Sestra Klari i Rosi, spoljna saradnica i stalna podrška.

.

Stefan Basarić

.

Teacher, poet, and traveler — through thoughts and cities. Graduated in literature in Novi Sad, but is one of the rare few who returned to Subotica. Writes poetry and short stories published in numerous magazines and anthologies. Always on the move — between classrooms, pages, and his own verses. Editor and host of the program Literature Returns to Subotica at Klara and Rosa.

Olga Ljubisavljević

.

Responsible for much of Klara and Rosa’s visual identity since 2025. Loves tomato soup — but loves fighting for justice in this messed-up system even more! Wants to be part of positive change in her city and to contribute to its cultural growth through creativity. She believes every city should have its own Klara and Rosa. P.S. Her favorite color is royal blue.

Zoli Keresztényi

.

He’s traveled the path from technician to chef, and from chef to someone who works with the community. The high-tech world wasn’t his calling, but it taught him to see the world through systems and connections. He found his passage in cooking—a place where technology and sensuality meet. Today, he doesn’t just create food, but also spaces where people can meet, connect, and enjoy one another’s presence. He is the host of the Speech Cafe program at Klara and Rosa.

Nela Tonković

.

Karina Nagy

.

She holds a degree in acting and a specialization in arts management and administration, yet she neither acts nor manages—except perhaps at home! Instead, she decided to “take a break” to gain a clearer perspective, to dream, create, and live as simply as possible with her family. She devotes herself only to what she loves and what fulfills her. She’s a member of the organization and steps in whenever something needs doing.

Gloria Lindeman

Originally from Subotica, now based in Zagreb. In addition to cooking on ships along the Adriatic, she finds inspiration in encounters with people in many forms: through one-on-one therapeutic work, group workshops, interviews and conversations, travels… She often likes to step outside of familiar situations in order to see herself and others from different perspectives. She loves most to spend time in—and help create—spaces where she feels part of something greater than herself, most often through dance and music. She is a member of the association, a regular collaborator, and a member of the organization’s Board.
