Echoes of Coexistence: OPENING THE CIRCLE

The question of what things once looked like isn’t only about the past. The former appearance and atmosphere of Subotica speak to the present—and to the future as well.

With the idea of evoking and reviving the dormant, avant-garde, artistic, rebellious, and collective spirit of Subotica, we invite you to a collective conversation as part of the research project Echoes of Coexistence: The Intercultural and Multicultural Heritage of Subotica.

The project focuses on a period when avant-garde art and everyday life in this city were in constant dialogue—beyond dominant narratives and outside institutional frameworks.
This collective interview is conceived as a space for shared remembering and reflection.

We are interested in how cultural and artistic events looked and felt, which events took place, who attended, how people spoke, and what lingered after a performance or a play. Micro-stories, personal memories, impressions of spaces that may no longer exist, but once served as meeting points.

Join us on Saturday, February 21, at 6:30 PM at Klara i Rosa. Let’s open the circle together.

BOOST is a regional project that strengthens civil society in the Western Balkans through support for youth, entrepreneurship, environmental protection, culture, and community development. The project is implemented by Klara i Rosa and CK13 as part of a program coordinated by ALDA, with the support of the French Development Agency (AFD).
