Grounding Reunion 2025

After two inspiring years of the Grounding program, this summer we took a step further. From July 18th to 24th, 2025, we gathered again, not to start something new, but to deepen and strengthen the connections we had already built.

GROUNDING REUNION brought together participants from both the first and second Grounding editions – women activists, artists, and cultural workers from Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Romania, and Greece.

We spent seven days in nature, at the beautiful Lehel Salaš near Subotica, where we reconnected, shared experiences, reflected, moved, and learned from one another.

This year’s focus was on defining who we are as a group and exploring what it means to grow into a movement – how to nurture trust, solidarity, and long-term connections among women working for social change across borders. We asked ourselves how we want to continue, what values we share, and how to sustain this network beyond a single event.

We were guided in this process by Selma and Jadranka from the CURE Foundation (Bosnia and Herzegovina), whose deep knowledge of feminist facilitation and group processes brought clarity, care, and inspiration to our time together.

This year’s edition of Grounding, organized by Klara and Rosa from Subotica, was supported by the Urgent Action Fund (USA), the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung – Regional Office for Montenegro and Serbia, and the Cure Foundation from Sarajevo, BiH.
