CALL FOR SMALL GRANTS FOR THE PROMOTION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE

Cultural heritage isn’t just a monument from the past – it’s a living story of our communities. Through customs, language, art, local legends, and forgotten crafts, we preserve our identity.

With this call, we aim to support contemporary, engaged, and creative approaches to preserving and reinterpreting heritage, rooted in European values of tolerance, diversity, and civic participation.

What do we support?

.
These grants are intended for initiatives that use heritage as a tool to engage the community and empower citizens – especially youth.

.
Eligible activities may include (but are not limited to):
Artistic actions and interventions (murals, performances, theater in public space)
Walks, tours, local heritage maps and guides
Digital storytelling, video series, audio guides, online campaigns
Workshops, public discussions, educational sessions, street actions
Campaigns that highlight local identity and forgotten stories

Who can apply?

.
Formal citizens’ associations registered in Serbia (working in culture, education, youth work, human rights, etc.)
Informal groups, in partnership with a registered organization that will take responsibility for the project’s financial management

✅ Selection criteria include:

-Relevance to local heritage and community needs
-Active citizen involvement (especially youth and vulnerable groups)
-Creativity, feasibility, and alignment with EU values
